Chicago Production Jobs Lost in iVillage Cancellation

NBC Universal has announced that production of “In the Loop with iVillage” will cease at the end of March. The show, which originated from Chicago, was just relaunched in September of 2007. NBC purchased iVillage in 2006 – the show was originally called “iVillage Live” and produced in Florida.

The news and business stories about the of iVillage show rarely mention the 30 or so production jobs that will be lost in Chicago because of the cancellation. There is talk that “The Bonnie Hunt Show” will fill the time slot beginning in September. We have a studio and crew here in the city where Ms. Hunt was born that will be available if you need it.
